A Itália foi hoje criticada por interceptar imigrantes ilegais no mar Mediterrâneo e de enviá-los de imediato para a Líbia sem se preocupar com o seu futuro. De acordo com o relatório da Human Rights Watch, o país não analiza a possibilidade de asilo e muitos acabam por ser detidos na Líbia em condições desumanas. Um problema que mais uma vez demonstra a incapacidade de governos europeus de fazer face à crescente ameaça de imigração ilegal vinda do norte de África. E seguramente a simples deportação jamais será a solução... Italy has today been criticized for intercepting illegal immigrants in the Mediterranean sea and immediatly dispatching them to Libya without caring about their future. According to the Human Rights Watch report, the country doesn't determine if some could apply for asylum and many end up detained in Libya under inhumain conditions. An issue that once more shows the inability of european governments to face the growing illegal immigration menace coming from the north of Africa. And surely just deporting them will never be the solution...
